NAZIS BOMB MOON

In April 1945, Nazi Germany unleashed a secret rocket that struck the moon, causing our celestial neighbor to rain down on the Soviet Union. World War II ended, but our soldiers returned to find all wasn't well on the home front. The Russians have gone radio silent, and odd interference in worldwide communications has cut off whole communities. With a bad storm on the way, stocking up on essentials have brought riots and random acts of violence to our cities. Seeking a reprieve from this madness, some citizens have sought a long holiday in the countryside. A number of old manor homes are available for rent. Book soon, however, for an inky fog has begun to darken our shores, and it is not certain when this murk will lift.

Welcome to the trial version of Strange Manor. A storytelling game where you will create three characters, called Guests, and guide them through a series of odd events with the hopes they will survive more or less intact. Or not. Because this is your story, and at any point you can choose to bend the rules or ignore them entirely to best suit that story.

The scenarios within are also left intentionally vague. You must drape these bare bones in sinewy specifics. For example, when a Guest develops the trait Doomed, don’t just write the word. What caused them to feel the end is nigh? Perhaps a horrific run in with some animal of the wood leaves them convinced the world will soon be overrun by towering elk.

What's Needed:

  • A writing journal
  • At least two six-sided dice
  • Copious imagination

The trial version only includes 18 playable events to provide a taste of what the full game has to offer. The complete experience includes 108 normal events and 3 massive final events, reaching a total of 12 possible endings. So please give this trial a spin and let me know what you think.
